"In response to the threat of a global avian influenza outbreak, Fort Dodge developed an important bivalent vaccine to prevent avian flu in poultry. In collaboration with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, Fort Dodge also is developing a reverse genetics poultry vaccine for protection against the H5N1 strain of the avian flu virus, which we are concerned about from a potential pandemic perspective"
